1. Leadership Trainer

Job Purpose

Responsible for conducting leadership development programs for organizations, institutions and individuals at the outward-bound campus or at the clients’ locations to ensure learning objectives are met.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
  1. Analyse, design, develop, deliver and evaluate leadership training solutions for organizations, institutions and individuals for both outbound and corporate classroom requirements.
  2. Train, facilitate, coach and mentor organizations, institutions, and individuals from ISL’s clientele.
  3. Set up and conduct leadership programs for organizations, institutions, and individuals in the outbound format using high ropes course, obstacle courses, treks, camping, etc.
  4. Prepare training material such as case studies, module summaries, map reading and navigation, reflective journals videos, etc. for use in leadership training sessions.
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of leadership training sessions using accurate and reliable tools and instruments to monitor training effectiveness.
  6. Conduct remedial, follow up and refresher training sessions to ensure leadership development through a well-designed leadership journey for organizations, institutions and individuals.
  7. Organize and lead mountaineering expeditions, white water rafting, snow skiing, cycling expeditions, etc. for ISL’s clientele.
  8. Ensure repeat leadership training interventions and business development from existing clients of ISL by staying in touch and tapping into new leadership requirements.
  9. Conduct ongoing research, compile, apply and analyse the effectiveness of the latest insights, tools and strategies related to leadership development.
  10. Create new and original contributions into the field of leadership development in the form of ideas, exercises, activities, tools or training styles.
Skills Required
  1. A proven track record in leadership training in outdoor / experiential learning space is desirable.
  2. Understanding of effective training methodologies, tools, and instructional design.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation skills, and public speaking skills to appeal to participants of all levels and all ages and backgrounds.
  4. Goal setting, organizing, planning and time management abilities.
  5. Creative and problem-solving skills to invent new ways to accommodate the learning needs of contemporary learners and organizations.
  6. High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies and the willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in L&D.
  7. Minimum of bachelor’s degree.
  8. Certified in Basic/ Advanced mountaineering and first responders’ course is desirable.
  9. Certification in Training, Master Training, Facilitation, Coaching or certifications in the areas of one’s domain of expertise will be an advantage.
  10. Certification in leadership or related areas from well-known institutions and organizations.

2. Senior Leadership Trainer

Conduct Leadership Programmes for corporate organisations, educators, and schools as per the instructions of Director ISL.

  3. Sound understanding of leadership training concepts, curriculum development, and execution

  6. Ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences – corporate professionals, educators, and students
  7. Attention to detail, high energy, and a child-friendly attitude
  8. Capacity to design, research, and continuously improve training programsGood physical fitness and stamina to actively accompany and participate alongside participants in all outdoor activities
Specific Responsibilities
  1. Design, organise and facilitate leadership programs for corporate organisations, educational institutions, and school groups – both at ISL campus and at client locations
  2. Conduct individual and group activities focused on problem-solving, decision-making, risk-taking, initiative, innovation, etc.
  3. Deliver tailored leadership curricula to corporate clients, teachers, and student groups, adapting methodology to suit each audience
  4. Conduct structured debriefing and reflection sessions that connect experiential activities to real-world leadership frameworks
  5. Maintain individual participant progress records; provide structured, actionable feedback during and after programs
  6. Lead the development of new training modules, activities, and tools to continuously enrich ISL’s programs
  7. Conduct ongoing research in leadership development and apply insights to improve curriculum and delivery
  8. Ensure high safety standards across all activity areas; conduct pre-session equipment and area inspections
  9. Maintain absolute adherence to global safety standards as prescribed by the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) , UIAA (International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation) and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  10. Act as first responder in emergencies; manage casualty evacuation swiftly and effectively
  11. Recommend, organise and lead off-campus peak experiences
  12. Ensure maintenance and upkeep of facilities and equipment to prescribed safety standards
  13. Actively identify, reach out to, and secure prospective clients – corporates, institutions, and schools – to grow ISL’s client baseExecute additional programs and administrative tasks as directed by the Director ISL
